Description

This hike is called the Cushnabinnia Horseshoe which takes us to the beautiful Lough Curra, a glacier lake surrounded by Galty peaks. We climb Galtymore 919m which is the highest point of the Tipperary and Limerick county. We will also reach other peaks such as Galtybeg 799m and Cush 639m. The hike leads through open land, follow farm paths and mountain trails but might include un-pathed parts. You might expect loose rocks, wet and muddy parts, small streams, grasslands and heather. The hike has a few very steep ascends and descends and therefore is classified as strenuous.
