Mahon Falls & Coumshingaun Lake

Description
The Comeragh Mountains features a boggy plateau which surround rocky coums filled with a wonderful little Loughs. The hike starts from passing the Mahon Falls which is the must see sights in Waterford County, then we cross plateau and reach stunning Coumshingaun lake surrounded with dramatic cliffs. The hike leads through open land, follow farm paths and mountain trails but might include un-pathed parts. You might expect loose rocks, boulders & screes, wet and muddy parts, streams, grasslands and heather. The hike has few very steep ascends & descend, including scrambling where the hands must be use to climb the section.
