Description
This must do hike in Comeragh mountain in summer and early autumn season when heather is in full bloom. The Coum Larthar called by locals 'The Boolas’, and Crotty Lake are located in the North part of the Comeragh Mountain. Both corries are absolutely amazing, surrounded by high cliffs looking into lakes. We also climb great gully and summit of the Carrignagower summit (767m). The hike leads through open land, follow farm paths and mountain trails but might include un-pathed parts. You might expect loose rocks, wet and muddy parts, small streams, grasslands and heather. The hike has a few very steep ascends and descends and therefore is classified as moderate . Level: Moderate to Difficult Distance: 15 km Ascend: 800m Time : 6-7h Transport: self-transport BUT if you require one please let us know
